Case Studies

The magazines that I have based my look book on are:

  • I.D.
  • Wonderland
  • Dazed and Confused

All of them kind of have the same style and layout. The front covers are all very graphic, I love how the actual portrait on the front cover would genuinely be quite simplistic and low in colour but they all reflect the interviews, reviews and style that is in the magazine.

Wonderland:
Normally the cover is full of graphics, subtitles, Images and even the barcode at times. For me I think that there is way too much going on each cover but it reflects the inside of the magazine.

I.D:
on every single cover of i.d, the muse is winking. Its so obvious that no one ever notices it. The muse is normally in the centre of the cover looking straight at the camera.
Dazed and confused:
You alway see the muses full body on the cover of this magazine and they focus more on the clothing then anything. This is essential for a lookbook.
