lookbook evaluation
Front Cover:
The image on the front of my magazine is from the "Life Aquatic" photoshoot I made the photo in black and white so that the logo and the background was emphasised. I wanted to make it bold but minimalistic at the same time. I stuck to three colours so that there was a simple correlation.
Page 2:
The second page consists of a very bold background and minimalist text giving a brief explanation of what is included in the look book. I used a complimentary colour scheme so that it was satisfying to the eye.
Page 3:
We have now entered the contents itself stating with the outfit inspired by Beetlejuice. In my eyes, this isn't the best looking page although It was the page that I spent the most time on. I included mini photographs of a polaroid and a book that was in the the movie to give a perfect homage to the film. I made the image of the model B&W so that the photo would look a bit more atmospheric.
Page 4:
The second film that i had picked is called "Dazed and Confused" I have labelled the clothing items and accessories with the shop name and the price. I have also added the mini photographs of the things that were included in the film. I have made this page very bright and colourful as the film was set in the summer of '76.
Page 5:
This outfit is based on the film "The Life Aquatic" This was the first shoot I had done for this magazine. It included a lot of experimentation and trail (she is seen holding a copy of David Bowie's "Honkey Dory") As for the title I found the original font that was used for the film which is called "Futura T book" and i made it 3 diminutional with the 3D tool on photoshop.
Page 6:
This page is based around the Romeo + Juliet film that came out in the 1990's. I also found the original font from this film and made it 3 dimensional as I couldn't find the original logo anywhere. The colour scheme is purple and pink to reflect romance and lust.
Page 7:
This is the last page in my lookbook and it is based on this generations favourite television show "Stranger Things"!!!!!!! I made the model transparent so that she blends in with the pine trees and it makes it look ver eery. I added a few pictures from the film is well to keep n with my original idea of he polyvores.
Back Cover:
This photo is from a previous photoshoot but it correlates very well with y front cover which is also black and white. I really liked the idea of the contents being very bright and bold in colour and the covers being very minimalistic.
